I can’t believe how much these little guys have grown over the past months! The last time we saw Jacie and Jake, they were 3 months old (click HERE to see their last shoot with us). Since that time, they have developed their own little personalities! Jacie was a little ham  🙂  She loved to pose, and gave us the happiest smile (Daddy wins the award for demonstrating the most creative way to elicit a smile from a child!). Jake was a little trouper when it came to waking up from his nap…not a tear! He gave us sweet little smiles, which seemed to go along with his easy going personality.  They tolerated their outfit changes well (thanks for bringing those adorable outfits, Mom!). Mom and Dad, thanks for sharing your sweet angels with us!  It was great to see you all again 🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

How did time get away from us like this?  The last time we saw Emily, she was a newborn (click HERE to see Emily’s newborn shoot). Now, a 10-month old, Emily was sitting up, laughing, and crawling across our studio. Her big, brown eyes sparkled as she posed for us. Big sis, Maggie, posed for a few sibling shots (Mags has had a ton of experience posing for us…I think this is the 8th time that we’ve seen her!). Thanks for coming out to see us, Mom! I can’t wait to see you all next month for your family shoot, and then again for Emily’s first birthday party  🙂  We are so fortunate to have met such a wonderful family!  We really appreciate your loyalty…and we love seeing you! Thanks for sharing your afternoon with us.  Here’s your sneak peek:

He was a perfect mixture of Mommy and Daddy…all rolled into a little ball of cuteness! Sleepy baby Taycyn did a wonderful job of falling asleep for us. Dad initially wanted our “job to be easy” (i.e., “You don’t have to do a lot of props, just some natural stuff.”). We did a lot of “just baby” shots, and ended the shoot with a few props (I knitted the blanket, fishing hat and fish…and I just had to get them in there!). Thank you for including us in another one of your life milestones, Mom and Dad (click HERE to see their engagement shoot ,and HERE for their wedding). You’ve included us  in your journey together, and we feel so fortunate to be able to enjoy it along with you  🙂 Welcome to the world, little Taycyn!  Here’s your sneak peek:

It seems like just yesterday that we were doing Zoey’s Christmas photos. I can’t believe it’s been 3 months already! Little Zoey was just on the verge of standing up on her own. Just 3 months ago, she was just mastering the art of sitting unassisted 🙂  She’s flying through her milestones! Zoey was full of smiles for us, and Emma was a great sport about taking photos with her little sis.  Mom did not disappoint…she arrived toting the cutest little outfits, headbands and pearls! We love when parents take a personal interest in our shoots; as always, parents are always welcome to bring props/outfits of their own to add a personal touch to the photos. I just want to reach into my computer screen and pinch those precious little cheeks, what a little doll! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for a fun and easy-breezy shoot with the girls!

It was an afternoon spent with two 2-year olds…full of giggly smiles and playful silliness, I LOVED it 🙂  I love 2-year olds. They are so interactive, and their own personalities really shine. I was blessed with incredibly well-behaved little ones. Both Siena and Felix took direction well, and flashed their toothy grins for me throughout our shoot. Grandma and the kids’ parents were very helpful and patient, which made for a fun and happy shoot. Siena was so sweet with her cousin, Felix. Felix was an all around happy little guy! Thank you for coming out to visit us! We hope you had a wonderful stay here (Felix and family). Here’s your “share”:

I can’t believe 3 years has gone by already! The last time this wonderful family visited us, was for big-brother (Ken)’s celebration of Shichi-Go-San (七五三 seven-five-three)-a traditional rite of passage in Japan for 5-year old boys (and 3 and 7 year old girls)–click HERE to see their previous shoot with us.  This time around, it was Kou’s turn to celebrate (albeit a little late, it was a celebration nonetheless!). Kou donned his hakama, and looked like such a big boy! Ken helped to watch little Keiso throughout the shoot, and at the end, got in his promised “action” shot with little bro (see the last photo below). All three boys were so well-behaved…you are all welcome to come over anytime 🙂  Here is your “share”:

Bradley:  Momma, last night I went to sleep and I was five.  This morning I woke up and I am six.

Me:  You’re right! Do you feel any different today?

Bradley:  Yes, I’m two hands now!!!

Me:  Ummm, OK?

Happy Birthday, my little man! I always fear the week before your birthday, because I  unfailingly become extremely grumpy and despondent. I’ve been know to make excuses…”I think I’m coming down with something”, “I just have a lot on my plate right now”, “It must be PMS”…but we all know the cause of my poor attitude. My baby is one year older (which, of course, is a wonderful thing), but I just can’t help reflecting on our past year together and think of how much of a difference one year made. I look back to his baby photos (remember, he is the most photographed child in the world, LOL), and feel that familiar tightening in my chest.

Thank you, my baby, for making me the luckiest mom in the world 🙂

P.S., I did NOT make my son wear that necktie.  He insisted on wearing a “fancy, white, button down all the way” shirt, tie and belt to his birthday dinner.  Not sure why…but he loves clothes 😉

Happy New Year, everyone! I finally got to take a break this past January (I worked all the way through to December 29th with newborn shoots), and felt like I needed to take some time to recuperate and spend time with my family 🙂  I have quite a few blog posts to catch up on (I’ve been holding shoots and putting up proofing galleries since the 3rd week in January, but held off on the blog posts until today).  Our shoot schedule is filling up…and we couldn’t be happier!

We finally ordered our “New Year’s” card a few weeks ago, and just started sending them out (I know, it’s over a month into 2014, but at least our card has a calendar on it, LOL!)  Here’s a sneak peek of some of the photos on our card:

Hope you all have a wonderful 2014, filled with happiness and joy 🙂

She was so tiny and precious, and she looked exactly like her big brother did when we did his newborn shoot three years ago.  As soon as Dad took Bree out of the car, I couldn’t help but notice that she was a spitting image of Brody (click HERE for Brody’s newborn shoot with us).  Click HERE for Brody’s first birthday party. We love babies within the first week, the earlier, the better! They fall asleep fairly quickly, and stay asleep for longer periods of time. They also fit in so many of our props (props that have literally taken over our house and garage!).  Bree was a perfect, sleepy angel. She only awoke for the last 5 minutes of our shoot. Big brother Brody did an amazing job as well! He gave us his “light up the room” smile, and was very caring toward his new little sister. Thank you Mom and Dad for being so easy to work with, it really makes our job so much easier 🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

We love to see our newborn babies come back to us as “Big Brothers” and “Big Sisters”! The first time we met Big Brother Kesan was at his own newborn shoot (click HERE to see Kesan’s newborn shoot with us). We were fortunate to see Kesan again last year for his 10 month old shoot (click HERE to see Kesan’s previous shoot)…and this year, we saw him as a big brother to Kasey!  Little Kasey was 10 days old when we met him. He was so tiny and sweet, with the longest, most beautiful fingers we’ve seen in a while. Kasey did an amazing job of sleeping for us, and his big brother did an amazing job of patiently waiting for his brother. I know you all drove out from so very far…thank you!!!  Mom and Dad, here’s your sneak peek:
