So many people have asked about Tyler. I frequently get, “That kid is the happiest kid I’ve ever seen…how do you get him to smile?”. The answer I always give them is that Tyler is, by nature, one of the “smiliest” kids we’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. He has sparkly eyes, and the edges of his mouth are always turned upwards. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him cry…even during his newborn shoot. His mom and dad are also happy people, which means that Edson and I always look forward to our shoots with Tyler and his family! Tyler is so sweet, and so gentle. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for spending Tyler’s first year with us (click HERE to see his first birthday party shoot, and HERE for his previous studio shoot with us). We’ve enjoyed our 5 shoots this past year (yes, it’s been 5 times…amazing!), and we look forward to seeing Tyler in the future (I know everyone is looking forward to seeing his smile light up their computer monitors!). We’ve had a few “twin” shoots this past month, and this shoot was a blast 🙂 I knew we were going to have a ton of fun the moment the car door opened and Kai said, “Hi, I’m ready!” Misa gave me a smile, and I swear I saw a twinkle in her eye. Both kids were so excited to be at the beach. They were particularly interested in crab holes, and even decided to make their own holes (until one accused the other of “ruining my crab hole!”). I loved their “crab claw hands”, and their laughter as they ran across the sand. We had a wonderful afternoon at the beach…so much fun! Mom and Dad, it was great to meet all of you. Thank you for being so patient and kind; it was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with you! Here is your sneak peek:

Another one of our little newborns is all grown up! Click HERE to see Daniel’s newborn shoot. Daniel was talking, laughing, running, and had a mouth full of teeth…where did the time go? He still sported the same grin that he had at our last shoot. Click HERE to see Daniel’s last shoot with us. It was a grin that not only lit up his face, but the faces of everyone that was near him. He was inquisitive, and loved to explore our props-especially that xylophone alligator. We know what’s on his list to Santa 🙂 It’s been a pleasure seeing Daniel grow over the past 18 months…we love to see our babies mature into toddlers and beyond. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for giving us this opportunity to work with all of you! Here’s your sneak peek:

He was a perfect gentleman. Michael’s round, brown eyes made me want to melt…and that cute little tux just made him even more adorable. He’s going to be the handsomest, cutest, little ring bearer ever! I know he’s going to do a great job 🙂 Mikey’s thoughtful demeanor and gentle personality made him irresistible. You could just see those wheels going in his mind as he analyzed the toy truck…so intelligent! We’ve enjoyed seeing little Mikey grow over the past year (click HERE to see his first birthday party and HERE to see his last studio shoot with us). He was just a wee little guy when we first saw him as a newborn, and now he’s a waking, talking “big boy”. Thank you for a wonderful year, Mom and Dad…here’s your sneak peek:

Another year has passed, and Lauryn was up and running (the last time we saw little Lauryn was HERE at 6 months, and at that time she had just mastered sitting up). Renyn was also one year older, and even more handsome than he was a year ago! He was a little chatterbox with us, and was eager to talk about his preschool experiences 🙂 Time just flies by! Poor Lauryn fell and scraped her knee just as our shoot began…but the tears quickly dried, and were replaced with smiles. Renyn was such a big help…he did his “arm swing” thing that seemed to thrill Lauryn into smiling for us. I also had a great time at the shoot (and it’s the first time I’ve ever shot with a spam musubi balancing on my head, LOL!). Oh the things we do for a smile… Mom and Dad, it was great to see you again! Here’s your sneak peek:

They were the type of family that you know has a ton of every single day…they enjoy each others’ company, and I felt like I was watching a modern day “Leave it to Beaver” family. We’ll call our family the “Cleavers” 🙂 We thought it was just adorable that little Brynne copied EVERYTHING that big sis, Adrienne, did. Adrienne was a doting older sibling, and Brynne happily followed along in Adrienne’s footsteps. Brynne grew so much since our last photo shoot (click HERE to see Brynne’s 1-year old photo shoot), and time just seems to be flying by! Thanks for being a fabulous family! We enjoy our annual photo shoots with all of you…thank you!!! Click HERE to see their 2012 photo shoot with us. Here’s your sneak peek:

We were in for what we thought would be one of our bigger challenges this past weekend…a hybrid newborn/child photo shoot with 3-month old twins. Jacie and Jake were born three months ago, but spent much of that time in the NICU because they were preemies. Mom was referred to us by this set of twins’ mom (click HERE to see Elle and Rob’s last photo shoot with us), and gave us a call. We were delighted to do the photo shoot, but I warned mom that even though Jacie and Jake were small for three month olds, the shoot may still prove to be difficult because of their alertness levels (we typically do newborn shoots within the first 3 weeks of life). Mom acknowledged, and said that it was important for her to catch these moments with her sweet babies before they grew any more (and boy do babies grow quickly!). We couldn’t have asked for a better set of 3 month olds! We fell in love with their chubby little hands and feet, and they both slept more than we thought they would. So angelic! I always think it’s funny to see twins interact with each other…particularly at this age, because as soon as they sense that they are nearing in proximity to each other, they start stretching out their arms and legs. I’m sure this is what they did on a regular basis in Mom’s tummy 🙂 Thanks for driving out to meet us, Mom and Dad! Jacie and Jake were absolutely precious. We can’t wait to see you again in a couple of months! Here’s your sneak peek (as I promised, we kept your “Christmas outfits” off the blog so they would be a surprise for your Christmas cards!):

She looked absolutely radiant in her Hanbok (traditional Korean dress)! The bright, happy colors mimicked Mia’s bright, happy personality 🙂 We loved her “scrunchy” smile…just look at that last photo in our post. What a cutie! Mia did such a great job in the studio, I think she surprised Mom and Dad with her delightful posing. She had a blast outside, and enjoyed running free in the wind. It was wonderful meeting all of you! Mom and Dad, thank you for sharing your sweet little girl with us…it was a pleasure working with you. Here is your sneak peek:

From the moment I saw that tiny swirl of hair on his forehead, I was smitten! Even looking at the photos now makes me want to run my fingers across that sweet little whorl. Isaiah was absolutely precious…and he did an amazing job for us during his newborn shoot. Mom opted for a more “natural” type of shoot (of course, I had to get a few props in…), and baby Isaiah slept like an absolute angel as we moved him from prop to prop. Congratulations big sister, Suriel (click HERE to see her previous shoot with us, along with links to her other past shoots)! We even had the pleasure of meeting Grandma and Grandpa 🙂 It was wonderful to meet you both! This was also a first for Dad in the studio…isn’t he handsome! Isaiah, you are blessed with an amazing family. Thank you all for driving out to see us! Here is your sneak peek:

It was our first official Christmas shoot of the season, and I could not believe I was looking at the same Aiden we saw back in 2011 (click here to see his 2011 shoot with us)! He was all grown up. Aiden was talking, running, and even started preschool…but he was still the same cutie we saw almost 2 years ago. We loved his smile and animated laughs-what a ham! If only we videoed his “firefighting skills” with that fire extinguisher 🙂 Loved that Mom and Dad brought the firefighter’s outfit and coordinating firetrucks. Thanks for a fun afternoon, Aiden!
