It had been almost two weeks since we saw little Parker in the hospital, and we couldn’t have been more excited to see our grand-nephew! He looked exactly how we remembered him…so tiny and precious! Parker couldn’t wait to meet the world, and made his debut a month early (we’ve had quite a few “early” babies this past month)! Our niece asked if we could do a “surfboard” shot, so I ordered a surfboard prop.  Unfortunately, it didn’t arrive in time for our shoot, but maybe we’ll be able to use it for his 1-year shoot  🙂  In the meantime, if anyone wants a “surfboard” shot…let me know (it arrived 2 days after his shoot).  Baby Parker had the cutest little nose, and he slept so well for us!  Our niece even brought her own blanket for us to use in the shoot.  Loved the design!  Congratulations, Mom and Dad. We were incredibly excited to meet Emily and her family. Emily was a referral from a wonderful friend…and we knew that any referral from him was going to be amazing  🙂  Emily’s parents were so patient and easy-going. We know exactly where Emily got her personality from! Even though she was one of our slightly older newborns, she slept like an angel. The moment I heard his name, “Jonny”, I knew he was going to be a cutie!  He had the sweetest little cheeks, and the sharpest eyes.  He loved looking directly at the camera (which was fantastic for us!). I wanted to touch his soft wispy hair.  I loved how the individual strands blew in the wind! It was hard for me to believe that another 3 months had flown by since Dylan’s last shoot (click HERE to see Dylan’s 6 month shoot). I also adored how me gave me “the look” with his warm brown eyes…so expressive and heartwarming. Dylan had such a gentle soul. Big brother, Daniel, did a wonderful job posing with his little brother. It’s not often that we are asked to do “formal” family photos, but we do love them!  Dylan’s (click HERE to see Dylan’s last shoot with us) family welcomed us into their beautiful home, and it was great to meet his aunts, cousins, grandparents and great-grandparents. Has it been 6 months already?  The last time we saw baby Stella was at her newborn shoot (click HERE to see Stella’s newborn shoot). Since that time, this little angel has developed her own sweet little personality.  She had a sparkle in her eye, and a happy smile on her face…which was a good thing, because the weather was not particularly cooperating with us that morning.  The ground was wet, and it started sprinkling on us about halfway through the shoot. Stella was unfazed by the overcast skies, and continued to smile her way through the session  🙂  Mom and Dad, your little girl is perfection! Here’s your sneak peek:

Little Brie couldn’t wait to see the world and meet her Mommy and Daddy…or maybe she couldn’t wait for her Newborn Shoot with us!  🙂  Both Brie and big brother, Brody (click HERE to see Brody’s newborn shoot), were absolutely amazing.  It’s often difficult for older siblings to adjust to a new baby brother or sister, especially within the first few weeks of the newborn’s life.  Sibling and family shots can be challenging. This was certainly NOT the case with Brody. I couldn’t believe how well he did.  He took directions well, and just sat there an smiled for us. No complaints, just happy smiles. Thanks for making our job so easy, Brody!!!  Brie was equally amazing.  She just slept and slept and slept. Edson and I were in awe of her sleepiness  😉  I asked Mom what the secret was, so I could tell other upcoming Newborn Shoot clients.  She smiled and said, “Facebook and Instagram”!  Apparently, Brody and Brie have already been prepped for their shoots because they are used to the parent paparazzi! She also followed the tips on the “Newborn Shoot Parent Preparations” pdf I sent them prior to their shoot. Mom and Dad, thanks so much for allowing us to be a part of your newborn journey! Baby Kayden was born 6 weeks premature, and Mom contacted me as soon as Kayden got home from her slightly prolonged hospital stay. Given her true estimated due date, we scheduled Kayden for her shoot at the “7-day” mark (7 days after her estimated due date, but a good 49 days out from her actual birthdate). The timing worked out PERFECTLY, and Kayden truly was the size of a newborn. Not only was she so tiny and precious, she had a beautiful “hair halo”…just like an angel.  She also had amazing skin, so smooth and clear. Kayden was sleepy, and so ready for her shoot (thanks Mom and Dad for following our suggestions on how to prepare for a newborn shoot). Kayden’s big brother, Tyler, wanted to share his Transformers with the world! He was a sweet little guy and a wonderful big brother!!! Kayden, you are a beautiful and strong girl…just like your Mommy (one of the strongest and bravest women we’ve had the pleasure of meeting)!  Mom and Dad, thanks so much for driving all the way out here to meet us…we know it was an incredibly far drive for all of you! Has it been six months already?!  Click HERE to see Roman’s newborn shoot. Little Roman went from a snuggly newborn all wrapped up in a stretchy brown wrap, to an almost 7-month boy that was full of smiles and action! Same chocolate brown eyes, only on a big boy’s body. Love that Mom and Dad brought back his painting…can’t wait for our next shoot! Such a great way to chart his growth over this first year 🙂  Big brother, Mikey, did an absolutely amazing job with his little bro.  Those brother shots were some of my favorite sibling shots to date!  Mikey was so tolerant of me accidentally calling his baby brother “Mi-Roman” (a hybrid of “Mikey” and “Roman”). Poor boys! I’m so used to having Mikey in front of my camera, that his name just seemed to blurt out of my mouth throughout the shoot. It was an absolutely beautiful day on the beach. We were the only ones on the sand (well, aside from maybe a jogger or two), and the sky was gorgeous! Kaitlyn and her Dad met me at the beach. She was sweet, and incredibly fun and easy to work with. I think it’s the age of “selfies”, so teens feel comfortable in front of the camera.
