It had been almost two weeks since we saw little Parker in the hospital, and we couldn’t have been more excited to see our grand-nephew! He looked exactly how we remembered him…so tiny and precious! Parker couldn’t wait to meet the world, and made his debut a month early (we’ve had quite a few “early” babies this past month)! Our niece asked if we could do a “surfboard” shot, so I ordered a surfboard prop.  Unfortunately, it didn’t arrive in time for our shoot, but maybe we’ll be able to use it for his 1-year shoot  🙂  In the meantime, if anyone wants a “surfboard” shot…let me know (it arrived 2 days after his shoot).  Baby Parker had the cutest little nose, and he slept so well for us!  Our niece even brought her own blanket for us to use in the shoot.  Loved the design!  Congratulations, Mom and Dad. We can’t wait to see little Parker again  🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

P.S.  Our holiday shoot schedule is almost completely full  🙂  Please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to schedule a shoot with us. Thanks!

He was part of all of our lives. Tobi was a member of my brother’s wedding. He posed for photo shoots. He even exchanged birthday, Christmas, Boy’s Day and Halloween presents with Bradley…his cards were always affectionately signed, “Love and Licks, Tobi”.  He brought joy to everyone he met, and his gentle ways made us all smile. Tobi was loved by all of us, but most of all, by his mother. He was her co-pilot, her baby and her best friend. In my next life, I want to come back as a dog taken care by someone just like Tobi’s mom. He knew he was loved, and he gave so much love back. We will miss you, sweet Tobi. Until we all meet again, sweet angel!

Hugs to all of you!

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday season  🙂  The dust is just starting to settle, and we are jumping into 2015 with open minds, warm hearts and happy dreams. Our Christmas was filled with family and friends; we are truly blessed.  I was fortunate enough this past December, to finally be able to pursue my love for photography. For the past 9 years, we’ve been “Weekend Warriors”. Edson and I both have had full-time jobs and multiple additional part-time jobs, in addition to doing our photography. We do most of our shoots on the weekend, and I spend most nights (from 9 to 2) post processing the images. I vowed not to work on photos on weekdays while Bradley was awake, because I wanted to spend time with him, so I started after we put him to bed. I would fall asleep around 2:30, then wake up at 5:30 for work the next day.  Needless to say, I was tired  🙂  I had to take a look at what I was doing to myself after my blood pressure sky rocketed up to 189/113 in November. I started the new year with a new plan and a new life.  I made the difficult decision to leave my full-time job and focus on my family, health and photography. So far, so good…blood pressure was 107/79 this morning  🙂  I am looking forward to more quality family time, more post processing time, more sleep (and hopefully, a cleaner house)!  I am very thankful for the support from my family…thank you for letting this tired old gal dream!

Here’s photos from our Christmas card this past year…yes, we actually got it out on time!

Wishing you and your families the best in 2015!

Hugs  🙂  Thanks for visiting us at Images by Kellie Ann!

I’ll just admit it…this was the shoot I’ve been waiting for. For the past 6 months, I have been planning little Emi’s shoot in my mind. We’ve been amassing newborn girl props for a while (and at the current time, I’m still waiting for a several more  that didn’t come in time for our shoot), but just didn’t have the chance to use them, until now  😉  Kor and Janell, thanks for letting me live vicariously through you and your family, LOL!

Little Emi had the longest, most elegant fingers we’ve ever seen. She had a head full of beautiful hair, and a little face that looked just like her big brother, Caden (click HERE to see Caden’s newborn shoot with us). Emi did an amazing job with us. Since she was only 6 days old, she was a sleepy little angel (which made outfit and prop changes relatively easy).

Thanks again, little brother, for sharing your beautiful family with us!  Congratulations and hugs to all of you  🙂  Emi is absolutely precious!!! Here’s your sneak peek:

He never fails…every time Bradley goes out for a walk with Edson, he brings me back a flower.  It’s usually a yellow or white flower, and he makes me guess what it is.  “Momma, guess what I have for you?  I’ll give you a hint, it has petals”  It’s one of our little routines. One of the little routines that just makes me happy to be a mom.  Today was Mother’s Day, and he didn’t just arrive with one flower, he brought home a “Mother’s Day bouquet”. * Sigh* I’m so lucky to be a mother  🙂

Hope all you Moms out there had a very special Mother’s Day!  Hugs to all of you!

Bradley:  Momma, last night I went to sleep and I was five.  This morning I woke up and I am six.

Me:  You’re right! Do you feel any different today?

Bradley:  Yes, I’m two hands now!!!

Me:  Ummm, OK?

Happy Birthday, my little man! I always fear the week before your birthday, because I  unfailingly become extremely grumpy and despondent. I’ve been know to make excuses…”I think I’m coming down with something”, “I just have a lot on my plate right now”, “It must be PMS”…but we all know the cause of my poor attitude. My baby is one year older (which, of course, is a wonderful thing), but I just can’t help reflecting on our past year together and think of how much of a difference one year made. I look back to his baby photos (remember, he is the most photographed child in the world, LOL), and feel that familiar tightening in my chest.

Thank you, my baby, for making me the luckiest mom in the world 🙂

P.S., I did NOT make my son wear that necktie.  He insisted on wearing a “fancy, white, button down all the way” shirt, tie and belt to his birthday dinner.  Not sure why…but he loves clothes 😉

Happy New Year, everyone! I finally got to take a break this past January (I worked all the way through to December 29th with newborn shoots), and felt like I needed to take some time to recuperate and spend time with my family 🙂  I have quite a few blog posts to catch up on (I’ve been holding shoots and putting up proofing galleries since the 3rd week in January, but held off on the blog posts until today).  Our shoot schedule is filling up…and we couldn’t be happier!

We finally ordered our “New Year’s” card a few weeks ago, and just started sending them out (I know, it’s over a month into 2014, but at least our card has a calendar on it, LOL!)  Here’s a sneak peek of some of the photos on our card:

Hope you all have a wonderful 2014, filled with happiness and joy 🙂

Dear Edson,

By now, you have clicked on the blog and are probably somewhat surprised and a little mortified to see a post dedicated to you. My poor husband…I know you absolutely HATE attention and would rather fade into the background than to ever have anyone call any attention to you. Your wardrobe most likely consisted of black, grey, navy and an assortment of browns since the day you were born. You probably never volunteered for “Show and Tell” a day in your life (unlike your wife, who was told to “let other people have a chance” during her preschool’s “Share Time”).  Yet, how could I let your special day go by without acknowledging how much you mean to me…how much you mean to Bradley…how much you mean to our photography business.  You patiently tolerate me and my numerous “demands”…yes, anyone that has been to a shoot knows that he carries our 500 pound camera bag and all of our supplies. He also doubles as many cartoon characters (recently, Yo Gabba Gabba!) to get our little ones to smile for the camera. I know it initially pained you to dance around and act silly in front of others, but somehow you seem to forget your self-consciousness in front of children. You were meant to be a dad  🙂  Thank you, thank you, thank you for being the best husband and partner, EVER! I love you. Happy Birthday 🙂

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!  Thank you to those in the past that fought for our freedom, as well as the men and women that currently strive to keep us independent and free.  Free to live…free to express ourselves…free to dream 🙂  Happy Independence Day!
