Little Kaila was our youngest newborn to date…3 days old! Mom and Dad were such troupers for keeping their shoot date (their shoot was their first morning home from the hospital)! Baby Kaila may have been only 3 days old, but she was incredibly mature. Her skin was absolutely perfect. She even gave us a few smiles 🙂 Her cheeks were so pinch-able, and her lips were pouty and red. She was beautiful…just like a baby Snow White! Mom and Dad, we’ll have to give you a “paci” photo as a memento of our shoot…it worked like a charm! Thanks again for making it out to see us so early on as new parents, and for sharing your little angel! Here’s your sneak peek:

It’s our second Dylan in the same weekend! This time around, we were blessed to meet Daniel’s new baby brother…he was a spitting image of his big brother! Click HERE to see Daniel’s 2013 shoot. I felt like we were doing Daniel’s newborn shoot all over again 🙂 Click HERE to see Daniel’s newborn shoot. Dylan had a head full of beautiful dark brown hair, and an amazing complexion for a newborn! I had to chuckle when I realized that we had the “Little Einsteins” theme song as our background music, thanks to several downloaded episodes on Dad’s iPad. Poor Dad, bet you never thought you’d know every Nickelodeon Jr. theme song that ever existed, by heart! Thank you, Mom and Dad, for being so patient. It was great to see all of you again! Alex is officially a big brother! Little Matthew looked like Alex as a newborn (click HERE to see Alex’s newborn shoot) with a swirl of cocoa. Matthew’s hair was slightly darker than Alex’s, but he was equally as cute! Matthew had beautiful long fingers and dark grey eyes. He even gave us a few gentle smiles! I can’t believe it’s been a year since our last shoot with Alex (click HERE to see Alex’s 2013 shoot), and so much has happened since that time! Alex has grown like a weed, and he became a big brother…he’s going to be a wonderful older sibling 🙂 It was great seeing you again, Mom and Dad…here’s your sneak peek:

He was Mr. Smiley for the camera…and quite possibly the strongest little boy we’ve seen to date! Dad is a sports lover. To be more specific, a Duke sports lover (it was pretty evident when he parked his car along the curb and I spotted his license plate frame…it professed his love for the team). Don’t worry Dad, at the rate little Cameron is going, he’ll be the clean-up hitter for his little league team in no time. This boy had power in his 5-day old arms and legs! His eye focus was amazing (just look at how he seems to be staring straight at the camera at us). Thank you for sharing your wonderful family with us, Mom and Dad! It was great to meet all of you 🙂 Here’s your sneak peek:

Edson nicknamed little Ethan the “Doll” and the “Hat Baby”. As we were looking through the images from our shoot, it seemed as though Ethan knew he was having his photos taken. His eyes were amazing focused for a 6-day old baby, and he looked right at the camera for us. It looked like Mom and Dad were holding a little doll. Toward the end of the shoot, we began putting hats on Ethan, and he remained perfectly still. His eyes were closed, and his little head propped up on his hands like a model…we put hat after hat on his head, and he didn’t move at all. Sometimes it’s a struggle just to get one hat on a newborn’s head. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for following our Parent Instructions for Newborns…it worked like a charm! He slept like a champ! It also really helped that you called me (from the hospital) to move up your shoot because you delivered early. The earlier we do the shoot, the easier it is for everyone 🙂 As you can see, he tolerated multiple props, outfit changes, and poses. It was great to meet all of you!!! Here’s your sneak peek:

Meet Baby Rain! Such a beautiful name, for an equally beautiful little girl 🙂 She had petite little features, and tiny little fingers…so dainty! Despite being a little older, she did a great job of staying asleep for our prop shots (Mom, thanks for following our “Parent Instructions” handout…it really helped!). Toward the end of our shoot, Rain decided to open her eyes and check out her surroundings (which made for some sweet eye-open photos). Thanks for driving out to see us, Mom, we’re so honored that we were able to capture Rain’s special moments! Glad that both of you are feeling better! She was so tiny and dainty…absolutely perfect! KJ was a sleepy little angel for us, which was surprising considering she was exactly a month old. KJ barely woke up during her individual shots, but opened her beautiful eyes for us for the family photos. What a blessing! It was more than we could have ever asked for. Mom followed our “Parent Instructions” to a T, and KJ’s shoot proved to be one of our easiest shoots ever! Of course, we weren’t surprised that Mom followed through for us with her shoot prep, she is one of the most organized (and sweetest!) individuals I know. Big brother, K, was incredibly well-behaved. He brought the cutest little smile, complete with heart melting dimples, to our shoot. K was so articulate, it was hard to believe that the words coming out of his mouth were coming from a little guy that wasn’t even 2 1/2 yet! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for sharing your cuties with us…we are so honored to be a part of your lives (click HERE for their wedding, and click HERE for their engagement photo shoot). You make a wonderful family!!! Here’s your sneak peek:

He had amazingly focused, soulful, chestnut-brown eyes that just made you just want to hug him. Steele was so very tiny (he fit in a sports helmet), but mighty indeed. He had a sense of curiosity that made him stretch that strong neck of his so he could look around and survey the situation. Even his tiny little legs flexed as he tried to push his way along the blanket…imagine how strong he’ll be in a couple of months! Big sis, Chylar, got in on the football action and donned matching Steeler’s attire. She also had big, beautiful eyes…it runs in the family 🙂 Thank you very much, Mom and Dad, for driving out to meet with us! Steele was an absolute angel…he fell asleep so easily (hope he’s doing that with you as well!). Here’s your sneak peek:

I’ll just admit it…this was the shoot I’ve been waiting for. For the past 6 months, I have been planning little Emi’s shoot in my mind. We’ve been amassing newborn girl props for a while (and at the current time, I’m still waiting for a several more that didn’t come in time for our shoot), but just didn’t have the chance to use them, until now 😉 Kor and Janell, thanks for letting me live vicariously through you and your family, LOL!
Little Emi had the longest, most elegant fingers we’ve ever seen. She had a head full of beautiful hair, and a little face that looked just like her big brother, Caden (click HERE to see Caden’s newborn shoot with us). Emi did an amazing job with us. Since she was only 6 days old, she was a sleepy little angel (which made outfit and prop changes relatively easy).
Thanks again, little brother, for sharing your beautiful family with us! Congratulations and hugs to all of you 🙂 Emi is absolutely precious!!! Here’s your sneak peek:

Little Daxx had eyes that could make an iceberg melt. His big, chocolatey brown eyes made my heart melt every time he opened them. Daxx was a little older than our typical newborn (we like to schedule our newborn shoots within the first 10-12 days of life…that’s when babies are the sleepiest and curl up the best), but he did fall asleep for us for a bit. He loved to be cuddled, and already learned to self-soothe by sucking on his hands. His big brother, Zayd (age 4 years), was absolutely phenomenal! Zayd was incredibly easy to work with, and took directions amazingly well…after all, not many 4-year olds can tolerate a squirming newborn on their backs for very long. He was not distracted by our various props, and gave us a prize-winning smile every time! Click HERE to see Zayd’s 1-year old shoot with us. Mom and Dad were extremely easy-going, which always makes for an easier shoot. Thank you for being so wonderful to work with. It was great to see all of you again! Here’s your sneak peek:
