Little Peyton is a big sister now!!! Congratulations, Peyton! Click HERE to see her family’s maternity shoot. Peyton was just as cute and sweet as she was at our beach shoot, and she was incredibly loving and gentle with her new little sister, Cassidy. We had a request for a “baby animal” theme, and Peyton helped us pick out the animal hats and outfits for our shoot (we have MANY animal outfits). Cassidy was a great sleeper…I think she got her calm demeanor from her parents. She slept like a champ for us, even through multiple outfit changes and some fairly challenging props. Thank you for sharing your newest family member with us, Mom and Dad! You have two very amazing little ones 🙂 Congrats again! Here’s your sneak peek:

Another one of our favorite families! Last year’s theme was “Super Heroes” (click HERE to see last year’s photo shoot). This year’s theme was “Team Santa” (i.e., sports). How cute are those “Team Santa” hoodies and socks? The kids brought their baseball gear and bikes to the shoot. It was a great way to get some action shots! The light was harsh when we started, but it cooled down quickly. I liked our “dugout” photos…the reflective surfaces really provided us with some nice lighting. Maile loves to ride her bike (and she’s really good at it), so she brought her bike over. Mav loves baseball, so we took some action shots of him swinging his bat. Maile and Mav, thanks for making our jobs so easy! Mom and Dad, you have two of the most well-behaved children, ever! You both are definitely doing something right 🙂 Thanks for a creative and exciting shoot! Here’s your sneak peek:

We were looking forward to seeing David and Noah for this year’s shoot! Click HERE for their 2016 shoot. Two little boys, so full of action and ready to PLAY! We did our last two shoots at the beach, so this time around, we had our shoot at a park. David is always so easy to work with. He is articulate, gentle and wise beyond his years. Noah was Mr. Personality 😉 He was smiling and really hamming it up for us. What a great combination! I love this age, because kids are so full of energy. I just don’t know where they get it from. Most of our shots were relatively spontaneous, taken as the boys explored the open field and trees. David and Noah were looking for a pond…next time, boys! We will be ready for you and your fish nets 🙂 Thanks for a great time, Mom and Dad! It was nice to see all of you again 🙂 Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Here’s your sneak peek:

It was a hazy, bright day. The sun was strong, but we had a bit of vog over the past couple of weeks, so the light was glaring. Despite the humidity and the heat, we were looking forward to seeing Adri and Brynne for their annual photo shoot! Click HERE to see their 2016 photo shoot. They always have the cutest matching outfits (to match their equally cute smiles)! I love photographing these sisters, because they are another pair of siblings that simply love each other. They also do dance and gymnastics (those photos always make their way to our blog). Love the posture and poses…no coaching or posing on my part! We were also in luck. The duck parade was on, and boy were there quite a few of them there! We were also joined by a random dog (which I removed from the photos…not quite as interesting as the ducks!). The girls made the best of the harsh lighting, which actually resulted in some nice backlighting. Thanks for seeing us again, Mom and Dad! It’s always a pleasure working with your family 🙂 Here’s your sneak peek:

I felt concerned as headed out to our morning shoot. The rain was hitting my windshield, and the sky was a dark grey. Luckily, we chose a location that was somewhat shielded from the rain…so we kept our session. I was looking forward to seeing Renyn and Lauryn. They are one of my favorite “brother/sister” siblings, because they are so loving! I never have to ask them to pose, they just naturally interact with each other. It was great to see Tiger again this year as well! I haven’t seen Tiger for a couple of years now, but he looked exactly the same 🙂 Even Tiger seemed ready for the family shoot! I’m so glad that our schedules worked out again this year, Mom and Dad! Renyn and Lauryn, you both did an amazing job!!! Click here to see our 2016 shoot. My year would not be complete without seeing all of you 🙂 Here’s your sneak peek:

You have to love it when one of the children you are going to photograph comes up to you and says, “How about you just take some pictures of only me?!” Such a display of personality…so much fun! I love when kids like to have their pictures taken. Definitely no shyness here! Hayden, you are a pro!!! Mom wanted to focus on little Hailey this time around, so she brought various adorable little outfits for her. She may not have loved her unicorn outfit, but she looked ridiculously cute it in. I also loved how the gold background matched the gold heart on her shirt. Just look at that happy smile and clapping hands! Hailey, you did an amazing job 🙂 It was great seeing you all again this holiday season, Mom and Dad! Here’s your sneak peek:

You know you are going to have a great photo session when you have two little guys running on the sand with their fishing nets, sporting huge smiles on their faces! “I see a whale!” was a frequent exclamation from little Roman. Oh boy, was he excited…I mean, really excited (just look at that photo of him making a mad dash away from the approaching water)! Mikey always melts my heart. He is so quiet and sensitive, with his big brown eyes…just pools of chocolate. The boys looked for snails, crabs, and of course, whales, in the tide pools. They got a little wet, but that’s the risk that you take, when you are a pair of tide pool explorers! It was great seeing you all again this year, Mom and Dad. Thank you so very much for sharing your family with us year after year! Click HERE to see Mikey and Roman’s 2016 shoot with us. Here is your sneak peek:

It’s our 2017 family reunion with the T family! Our 9th anniversary, and they are one of our favorite families. Click HERE to see their 2016 photo shoot. I just marvel at how much the kids grow over the course of the year. They have the most hilarious sibling interactions (seriously, they remind me of my family growing up)…such a loving family 😉
Little Jasper (4) is growing like a weed! Big brothers, Jansen and Jorel (14), and big sis, Jalen (16), took amazing care of him during the shoot. He’s so lucky to have them all! They are so patient and gentle with him 🙂 It was a slightly hazy day, and the view of the mountains wasn’t the best, but the clouds began to dissipate as the afternoon progressed. At least the ground wasn’t muddy, and it wasn’t as humid as it’s typically been this past month. Thanks for a great shoot (and the creative poses…you’ll see those in your private proofing gallery 😉 ). It was great seeing all of you again this year! I’ll finish the photos in this post with my “not-so-little ham”…oh boy are you growing up! Hugs to all of you! Here’s your sneak peek:

I love doing maternity shoots, especially when they are family maternity shoots! We couldn’t have asked for an easier family to photograph! Peyton was such a little cutie, and she took direction so well. She told me that she “practiced smiling” before her shoot. How sweet is that? I’m sure she didn’t need to practice smiling though, because she was so happy and giggly! She is going to be the best big sister 🙂 Keep your eyes open for her sister’s newborn shoot…it will be coming up in a couple of weeks! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for coming out to meet us, especially on such a hazy, windy day. At least it didn’t rain on us! Can’t wait to see you for your upcoming newborn shoot! Here’s your sneak peek:

Little Olivia was the spitting image of her big brother, Jonny, when we did his newborn shoot! Click HERE to see Jonny’s newborn shoot, and HERE to see his last shoot with us. We did a “natural” shoot with Olivia (but I snuck in that new little bed at the very end of the shoot 😉 ). Baby Olivia wanted to see the world. She remained calm throughout her sibling shots, and continued to flash her beautiful eyes at us for the first portion of the shoot. Her eyes were very focused, so they made for great wrapped shots! Once she fell asleep, Olivia was out! She was such a little sweetie…just look how peaceful she looks!
Thanks, Mom for being so incredibly easy to work with (you always are)! We can’t wait to see both Olivia and Jonny for their next shoot! Here’s your sneak peek:
