Zayd and Daxx have a new baby sister!  Meet the lovely Qynn  🙂  Like her brothers (click here for Daxx’s newborn shoot, and here for Zayd’s one year shoot). She arrived to our studio with a head full of thick dark hair and a cute little smile for her sibling photo.  At 20 days old, Qynn was one of our older newborns. So glad we were able to schedule you in for your shoot, Qynn!  Hope brother’s baseball game went well too  🙂  Mom wanted a shot with the “flower ring”, thanks for bringing in the flowers, Mom and Dad (I know that meant you had to wake up even earlier to buy them!).  Welcome to the world, sweetie!!!  Here’s your sneak peek:

P.S.  We are now scheduling for holiday shoots.  Please contact me if you are interested in scheduling a shoot with us for your holiday cards.  Shoot slots are limited (in particular, the outdoor afternoon weekend slots), and are scheduled on a first-come first-serve basis.  We will be scheduling shoots through the end of October, and will use November for rain-out, sick client make up shoots only.

Meet sweet little Kaci. She had some of the clearest, brightest eyes we’ve ever seen!  She was up and wanted to see the world  🙂  I loved her signature hair, it just made her look absolutely adorable.  Mom and Dad were so patient and easy to work with…Kaci, you are the luckiest angel, ever!  Thanks for coming out to see us and being so patient with your sneak peek (we’ve been having problems with our internet service over the past week, and I’m trying to get this post up before we lose internet again).  Looking forward to our next shoot with you, Kaci!!!  See you in in 6 months  🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

It was a beautiful afternoon to have a beach photo shoot. The sunlight was gorgeous, the ocean was calm, and we had the privilege of photographing an absolutely amazing family! What better way to spend your vacation days, than to spend it on a beach covered with sparkling white sand and palm trees in the background?  Felix (4) and Nora (6) were incredibly delightful…so happy to be at the beach, spending time with their parents.  Nora’s beautiful hair blew gracefully in the wind, and looked positively ethereal.  She loved giving me “Nora” poses (I didn’t have to ask her to pose for me at all…what you see is all Nora)!  She’s a natural model  🙂  Felix had the cutest smile.  His face lit up every single time he smiled. I just wanted to scoop him up and hug him.  It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to shoot “couples” photos, so when Mom and Dad agreed to pose for me, I was thrilled!  Such a stunning couple, so happy and in love.  Thank you, W Family, for spending your afternoon with us!  Obviously, I had a hard time narrowing down your photos for your sneak peek…that’s OK, hopefully, it will help you relive your vacation  🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

It’s been 6 months since we’ve seen little Owen, and a lot has gone on since that time (click HERE to see Owen’s 5-month shoot).  Our little guy is walking running, and he has some pearly white teeth to show off!  Thank you, Mom and Dad, for being so invested in your shoot 🙂  They brought balloons, letters, props…we couldn’t have asked for more. The weather left something to be desired. We literally thought we were going to have to reschedule our shoot a half-hour before our start time, but miraculously, the skies cleared. It was meant to be! Oh Owen, you looked absolutely ADORABLE in your outfit. Who doesn’t love a preppy little bow-tie? He had no complaints about his wardrobe (some children don’t like long pants/long sleeved shirts/hats/shoes/ties/suspenders), but he was a trouper, and happily ran around in his fabulous outfit! What a great little personality…such a charmer. Thanks for braving the elements and giving our photo shoot a shot, Mom and Dad! Owen did a wonderful job, and it was so great to see all of you again!  Happy First Birthday, Owen!!!

It was time to see little Roman again, and I couldn’t wait to see those big brown eyes and signature tongue (just take a look at our photos below, and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about)! It was his first time at the beach, but he did a great job (some kids just don’t like the sound of the waves and the feel of the sand). His beautiful eyes lit up when he saw that lifeguard stand, and Mom was worried that all of our “smiling” photos were going to come from that stand.  Guess what, he gave us happy smiles…even without that stand  🙂  How cute is he?! Big brother, Mikey, helped us by carrying props…and it’s always great to see him! Thanks for taking the time to meet us, and for enduring that voggy, humid day. Thank you also, for giving us the opportunity to photograph Roman throughout his entire first year! I feel like we’ve seen you every 3-4 months now, for almost 3 years…and it’s been an honor “growing up” with your boys! Click HERE for Roman’s newborn shoot, HERE for his 6 month shoot, HERE for his 9 month shoot, and HERE for his first birthday party.  Here your sneak peek:

We couldn’t wait to meet baby Cally!  We were all worried that she was going to arrive early (like her big brother, Taycyn), and we were going on our family trip the month before.  I texted Dad while we were on our trip to make sure that Mom and baby were hanging in there.  Luckily, Cally arrived very close to her expected due date, and she was the PERFECT age for our newborn shoot.  Thank you, Mom and Cally  😉  Mom and Dad wanted a “natural” shoot (parents always have the option of choosing the type of shoot they want for their little ones…natural, prop, or a mixture of both), featuring purples and pinks.  She did an amazing job of sleeping for us, and she kept her tiny little hands in perfect position throughout the shoot. It was great seeing you again too, Tay!  Click HERE to see Tay’s newborn shoot.  Bradley loved eating noodles with you…it was just like he had a little brother (he LOVED the attention!). It was great seeing you again, Mom and Dad!  Thank you for always inviting us to share in your special moments (click HERE to see Mom and Dad’s wedding)…may you have many more  🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

Introducing Aiden, a little guy that I think is destined to be a very successful politician. He was extremely good-looking, and VERY vocal.  I don’t think he ever actually cried during our session (which is very unusual for an older newborn), but he sure vocalized a lot.  His stretching and yawning made me want to stretch and yawn too…he made it seem so satisfying! He laughed quite a bit at the beginning of our session, and made happy giggling sounds as he smiled. He grunted and moaned every single time we repositioned him…so adorable!  Oh Aiden, your cheeks were so squeezable, and I love how you fit perfectly in our moon prop. You looked so cozy, and seemed so relaxed the whole time. It was great meeting your equally handsome older brother, Ethan (5), who did an amazing job with the sibling shots. Mom and Dad, you are so lucky to have two wonderful sons! Thank you for driving out so very far to meet us. I know it was a long drive, but I’m so glad you came out. Thanks also for being so understanding about our schedule (we usually schedule shoots much earlier in a newborn’s life, but because we were on a family trip, we postponed the shoot until we returned). It worked out incredibly well! Here’s your sneak peek:

She had the same glorious hair that her big brother, Aiden, had when we did his newborn shoot 5 years ago! Click HERE to see Aiden’s newborn shoot.  Oh, to be blessed with such dark, luxurious hair…Kenzie, you were absolutely adorable! She was a sleepy little angel for us, and virtually slept for us the entire shoot. Aiden, it was so great seeing you again too! I can’t believe how much you’ve grown over the past year. Click HERE to see Aiden’s last shoot with us. Love that the first words out of your mouth to us were, “Look, I lost my tooth!” So happy that we caught that tooth gap in your photos this time around. I also loved that you wore your “I’m a big brother!” wristband that the hospital gave you when your little sister was born. Mom and Dad said that you were so proud of it, and refused to take it off because it was so important to you.  How precious!  Little Kenzie, it was wonderful meeting you…welcome to the world  🙂  Mom and Dad, thanks for coming out to see us!  Here’s your sneak peek:

Just look at that happy smile on Jonny’s face! He gave us all kinds of smiles…eyes open, eyes squinty, one eyebrow up, belly-busting. Oh Jonny, your Mom and Dad are so lucky to have such a joyful little guy  🙂  Thank you again, for sharing your beautiful home with us, Mom and Dad! It was so great to see all of you again. I can’t believe it’s been 6 months since we did Jonny’s newborn shoot (click HERE to see Jonny’s newborn shoot). We look forward to seeing you again soon! Jonny will be on the move…can’t wait!  Here’s your sneak peek:

It was a beautiful day…not a cloud in the sky, and extremely sunny.  Unfortunately, a cloudless sky and bright sun are not the best conditions for a photo shoot. It was late afternoon, and the sun was still blinding us. There was virtually no consistent shade, and it was hard to avoid that harsh glare of the sun.  As we waited for the sun to go down, I followed Ken around, snapping shots of him playing and just being a little boy. He showed an immense curiosity towards photography, and asked me amazingly mature questions about depth of field and posing. He loved finding his own spots to shoot at, and gave me introspective, action and classic posing.  He even did his best to help me with his little sister, Ella.  Ella had a beautiful dress on (courtesy of Grandma!). She had the most expressive eyes, and happy little smile. Adorable! The sun finally began to go down, and when it did, boy did it race towards that horizon. We had just enough time to take some backlit family photos before the sun made it’s final appearance. Thanks again for meeting us out there and enduring that blinding sun. It was great seeing all of you again! Ken, I posted a few extra photos of you…because I know you enjoyed the entire process, and I wanted you to see what the finals looked like.  Here’s your sneak peek:
