I love photographing kids that like to have their photos taken  🙂  The spontaneity and smiles make our shoots so much fun.  Brendan and April…we loved the eagerness and sweet smiles!  Click HERE to see their 2018 shoot.  We had perfect weather for our shoot.  The lighting started off on the brighter side, but as the shoot progressed, it softened.  Brendan and April were such good sports about the ground being slightly damp.  April, the boots still looked fabulous 😉  I love this age, still innocent and willing to hold hands…hope these memories last a lifetime.  Time flies by too quickly, and the next thing you know, they will be taking their high school senior portrait photos. SIGH.  It was great seeing you all again, Mom and Dad!  Thanks for a wonderful shoot. Here’s your sneak peek:

It’s been a year since we saw little Andi (click HERE to see her 2018 shoot). Andi had the same sweet smile, but this time, she sported the cutest little pigtails!  She brought many of her stuffed friends with her (and they sat very calmly in the sleigh for us). Hugging her favorite stuffie/blanket elicited the cutest expressions from her.  She was living her best life while eating cubes of cheese…I will never forget “cheese in the sleigh”!  Cheese works wonders (I love cheese too!).  I will always think of cheese when I use that sleigh in my future shoots  😉  It was great seeing you all again this year, Mom and Dad!  Looking forward to seeing you for your family shoot in a couple of months.  Hope you all have a great holiday season!  Here’s your sneak peek:

It’s been 10 years since we first met Soph and her family.  She was our very first online photo blog client (prior to that, we did hard copy print samples for our clients to view).  Click HERE to see her 2018 shoot.  I get sentimental when I see Soph and her warm brown eyes…that wistful look gets to me every single time.  Mom and Dad, you look the same as you did 10 years ago.  I need to know your secret!  Maybe, it’s having a sweet daughter like Soph.  I feel like a day with Soph would make everything better  🙂  Thanks for driving out to meet us.  Parking was scarce, and the beach was so crowded…but we made it work.  I was also pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t as windy as I thought it would be.  Beach shoots can be tricky, because the windy often comes off of the ocean.  It was a beautiful afternoon with an amazing family.  We always look forward to seeing you. Hugs to all of you!  Here’s your sneak peek:

This shoot brought back memories…I remember scouring for photos for my “Senior Page” in my high school yearbook (ok, we didn’t have digital images in my time, but I remember the process!).  We combined a Family shoot with Kacie’s Senior Portrait shoot, because her family only needed a few family photos.  I think the timing was perfect, because raindrops began hitting our windshield as we left the beach.  Kacie, thank you for being so easy to work with.  You and your family were incredibly natural and open to everything.  I wish you all the best with your Senior Year!  May it be full of excitement and memories that you will look back on and enjoy for years to come.  Here’s your sneak peek:

It was like seeing big brother, Eli, as a newborn all over again!  Evan brought back memories from three years ago…and all of that cuteness came flooding back.  Click HERE to see Eli’s newborn shoot.  Eli had the sweetest monkey outfit for his shoot (it was Year of the Monkey).  This time around, Evan wore an equally adorable bunny outfit because we did his shoot on Easter weekend.  Little Evan was the cuddliest little snuggler. He had the most perfect lips.  I loved that pout!  Congrats to all of you, Mom and Dad!  Eli is going to be the best big brother  🙂  One day, he will share his cherished jellybeans with his little bro.  It was great seeing you all again!!!  You have an amazing family.  Here is your sneak peek:

Carter was so handsome in his little newsboy cap, bow-tie and suspenders!  He liked those plastic colored balls (which made our photos look so happy and colorful), and he really loved his favorite book.  I love how he flipped through his board book, quickly got to the end, and reopened it with such gusto!  Let’s read this book one more time, folks!!!  Carter had a shy, gentle smile… which told us that when he gave us that smile, he was truly happy.  He was a sweet soul, with so much to be smiling about…loving parents, his favorite book, and a very snazzy outfit.  What more could he ask for 😉  Mom and Dad, thank you for sharing your charming little boy with us.  We had a great afternoon with all of you!  Here is your sneak peek:

Claire had the brightest eyes, and the sweetest head full of hair!  I love how she grabbed at her baby wrap, and stretched her arms out.  She was just saying that she is ready to move!!!  Nothing was going to hold her back (including that soft baby wrap).  What a great personality! Her brothers, David and Noah, were excited to be big brothers.  Just look at all of those happy faces  🙂  Mom and Dad, you both were so patient and easy to work with.  We’ve enjoyed watching your family grow over the years, and it was a pleasure working with you all again. Click HERE to see their previous photo shoot.  You have three absolutely WONDERFUL children (and they all take after their fabulous parents).  Thanks also for being so patient!  I have a new set of studio lights, and a brand new computer.  It’s been a struggle to work without it over the past weeks…but now my editing programs are running faster than ever.  Congrats again on your newest addition, Claire was such a little sweetie!  Here is your sneak peek:

Every year, I look forward to Emma and Zoey’s photo shoot, because they always have a theme.  Click HERE for their 2017 shoot.  I know Mom plans for weeks/months for her shoots…and this year was no exception.  Mom and her bestie, Lauren, furnished all of the props for this shoot (including the tent, blankets, s’mores equipment, lanterns, candles, signage, etc.).  Mom knew that she wanted a campfire theme, so she researched and purchased a camping permit so we could have the fire for her photos.  She even did a search to see what the fire pits looked like at each of the campsites.  Mosquitos were particularly vicious, because of the foliage and the setting sun.  Lucky for us, Edson brought some repellant, however we didn’t get to poor Lauren in time.  I’m so sorry, Lauren!  You were such a big help, and it’s always great to see you!  Thank you, Mom and Dad, for being so invested in your shoots.  I loved the “I’ve been Naughty” “I’ve been Nice” signs…I know little Zoey wasn’t thrilled about holding the “Naughty” sign, but of course, big sister Emma made her laugh!  The s’more were delicious, and the theme was so creative.  Thanks also for tolerating the mud…oh boy was it muddy!!!  Here is your sneak peek:

Mikey and Roman were very excited to share their newest “toy” with me.  They ran outside to show me their swing (which wasn’t there the last time I went to their house to do a photo shoot).  Click HERE to see their 2017 photo shoot.  Oh, the smiles that were elicited when they swung back and forth…pure enjoyment! I loved the look of exhilaration on their faces when they said, “Watch this!”  Mikey still was a gentle soul.  Those big soulful eyes…windows to his sweet little heart.  Roman was a bundle of energy and silliness (which I loved).  He was very excited to go to his Halloween carnival that afternoon, where he and his big brother were going to be pirates!  Mom and Dad, it was great to see you again this year!  Thanks for opening your house up to me again this year.  Don’t worry, next year, I will be well-versed in the latest version of Angry Birds so I can discuss game strategy with Mikey again  😉  Have a wonderful holiday season!  Here’s your sneak peek:

It was an exercise in patience for Alex and Matthew…and they were ever so patient!  We started off the shoot in a really challenging area (a long hallway).  It was one of the main thoroughfares in the building, so there was heavy foot traffic.  We would all wait for people to walk up the hallway, then we had literally 5 seconds to get a few shots in before someone else decided to walk up or down the hallway (and it was a really long hallway!).  Alex, Matthew and his parents were darting in and out of hallway, and they all did it so gracefully  😉  The lighting was tricky in some of the rooms (the walls were mostly pink, and the lighting was a bright orange), but the venue itself was beautiful and classic.  The boys did a great job, especially considering there were a million distractions, and it was EXTREMELY HUMID.  Thanks for being little troopers, Alex and Matthew!!!  It was great seeing you again this year!  (Click HERE to see their 2017 shoot.)
