Happy New Year to all of you!  I hope you are all doing well  🙂  We’ve spent the past 6 weeks trying to update our software, backup our 2017 files, and design a new proofing gallery (we are still working on this last one).

What better way to start off the new year, than with Kody and Callie…TWINS!  We did their shoot at the end of 2017, and were so charmed by their happy little faces and energetic poses.  I just wanted to pinch their cheeks while I was processing their sneak peek photos, and their hand/arm motions just made me want to hug them.  The sisters were incredibly interactive, and did such a great job with us.  They were equally adorable, but each their own very distinct personality.  We loved the variety of outfits.  One set of outfits was more “formal”, and the second was “casual”.  The hats…oh, the hats!  One of my absolute favorite photos is the family photos with the hats…mommies and daughters all wearing hats.  So fashionable!  Moms, thank you so much for sharing Callie and Kody with us.  I’m so happy that we are starting off our 2018 blog posts with the girls’ shoot.  It was wonderful meeting all of you!  Here’s your sneak peek:

The boys were so thrilled to show us their backyard!  Alex and Matthew sported huge grins as they swung and twirled for us on their swings.  The large tree that the swings were attached to provided us with some amazing shade and protection from the bright sun.  This was another shoot that we had to reschedule, due to the rainy weather we were experiencing around that time…but we couldn’t have asked for a better day!  It was an afternoon filled with laughter, running, and even riding on a kiddie motorized vehicle (it was literally going 1 mph!).  Thank you for the beautiful artwork as well, Alex and Matthew…the boys painted us a picture, in anticipation of our shoot.  How sweet is that?!  Thanks for sharing your beautiful backyard with us, Mom and Dad!  It was great seeing you again this year  🙂  Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.  Before I post your photos from this past shoot, I included some from our 2016 shoot, so you could see how much the boys have grown in a year!

We finally had a day with decent weather to do our shoot!  We waited, rescheduled, and rescheduled again…so much rain!  It ended up being a beautiful afternoon for Mila’s shoot, and I couldn’t wait to see her again.  Click HERE to see her 2016 shoot with us.  Mom had visions of “field” photos.  We were hoping for landscape with dried grass…which is usually the case in that area.  This time, however, SURPRISE!  We got out of the car and saw a field full of bright green grass.  Thanks a lot, rain!!!  Oh well, we couldn’t change the grass, so we just decided to shoot anyway (besides, when you have a beautiful family, it really doesn’t matter what color the grass is, LOL).  Oh Mila, you are adorable.  She loved Bradley, and kept pointing to him and saying, “Brother!”  Hmm, Mom and Dad…that’s a hint!  Thanks for a great afternoon, Mom and Dad!  I’m so glad it finally stopped raining for us  🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

Little Max is a big brother!  Click HERE to see Max’s newborn shoot.  Meet baby Finn.  I felt like I went back 2 years when I saw Finn…they looked so similar!  Both so handsome, and both gave us smiles  🙂  Finn was a little older than his brother when we did his shoot, so he was very alert.  His big, round eyes wanted to see the world…and he took it all in.  I love that he had a focused gaze, and looked straight into the camera at me.  Finn, you are a little charmer  🙂  Loved the knitted Santa hat that Mom and Dad brought in…so cute!

Congratulations, Mom and Dad (and Max)!  We are so happy for you all.  Enjoy your newest family member…he sure is an amazing little guy.  Here’s your sneak peek:

It was another year of planning, and another fantastic photo shoot with Emma and Zoey!  Mom and I got together for lunch, so we could go over her plans for her upcoming photo shoot.  Every year, this family goes out of their way to plan their annual shoot, and I always look forward to seeing what they have in store for us!  Click HERE to see last year’s shoot.  This year, Mom envisioned a “shaved ice” theme.  How cute is their little shaved ice stand?  So many little details (did you notice the snowflake trim on the kiddie sized park bench?  We loved the colorful display (and the girls were really excited about eating their frozen treats).  They even wanted to show me their colorful tongues after eating their shaved ice  🙂  I’m so glad we didn’t get rained out AGAIN, Mom and Dad!  Thank you for bringing all of your props to the shoot (I know it wasn’t easy).  The girls seemed to really enjoy this year’s shoot…lots of happy smiles and two very colorful tongues  😉  Thanks for another creative, amazing shoot, Mom and Dad!!!  Here’s your sneak peek:

Little Peyton is a big sister now!!!  Congratulations, Peyton!  Click HERE to see her family’s maternity shoot.  Peyton was just as cute and sweet as she was at our beach shoot, and she was incredibly loving and gentle with her new little sister, Cassidy.  We had a request for a “baby animal” theme, and Peyton helped us pick out the animal hats and outfits for our shoot (we have MANY animal outfits).  Cassidy was a great sleeper…I think she got her calm demeanor from her parents.  She slept like a champ for us, even through multiple outfit changes and some fairly challenging props.  Thank you for sharing your newest family member with us, Mom and Dad!  You have two very amazing little ones  🙂  Congrats again!  Here’s your sneak peek:

Another one of our favorite families!  Last year’s theme was “Super Heroes” (click HERE to see last year’s photo shoot).  This year’s theme was “Team Santa” (i.e., sports).  How cute are those “Team Santa” hoodies and socks?  The kids brought their baseball gear and bikes to the shoot.  It was a great way to get some action shots!  The light was harsh when we started, but it cooled down quickly.  I liked our “dugout” photos…the reflective surfaces really provided us with some nice lighting.  Maile loves to ride her bike (and she’s really good at it), so she brought her bike over.  Mav loves baseball, so we took some action shots of him swinging his bat.  Maile and Mav, thanks for making our jobs so easy!  Mom and Dad, you have two of the most well-behaved children, ever!  You both are definitely doing something right  🙂  Thanks for a creative and exciting shoot!  Here’s your sneak peek:

We were looking forward to seeing David and Noah for this year’s shoot!  Click HERE for their 2016 shoot.  Two little boys, so full of action and ready to PLAY!  We did our last two shoots at the beach, so this time around, we had our shoot at a park.  David is always so easy to work with.  He is articulate, gentle and wise beyond his years.  Noah was Mr. Personality 😉   He was smiling and really hamming it up for us.  What a great combination!  I love this age, because kids are so full of energy.  I just don’t know where they get it from.  Most of our shots were relatively spontaneous, taken as the boys explored the open field and trees.  David and Noah were looking for a pond…next time, boys!  We will be ready for you and your fish nets  🙂  Thanks for a great time, Mom and Dad!  It was nice to see all of you again  🙂  Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  Here’s your sneak peek:

It was a hazy, bright day.  The sun was strong, but we had a bit of vog over the past couple of weeks, so the light was glaring.  Despite the humidity and the heat, we were looking forward to seeing Adri and Brynne for their annual photo shoot!  Click HERE to see their 2016 photo shoot.  They always have the cutest matching outfits (to match their equally cute smiles)!  I love photographing these sisters, because they are another pair of siblings that simply love each other.  They also do dance and gymnastics (those photos always make their way to our blog).  Love the posture and poses…no coaching or posing on my part!  We were also in luck.  The duck parade was on, and boy were there quite a few of them there!  We were also joined by a random dog (which I removed from the photos…not quite as interesting as the ducks!).  The girls made the best of the harsh lighting, which actually resulted in some nice backlighting.  Thanks for seeing us again, Mom and Dad!  It’s always a pleasure working with your family  🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:

I felt concerned as headed out to our morning shoot.  The rain was hitting my windshield, and the sky was a dark grey.  Luckily, we chose a location that was somewhat shielded from the rain…so we kept our session.  I was looking forward to seeing Renyn and Lauryn.  They are one of my favorite “brother/sister” siblings, because they are so loving!  I never have to ask them to pose, they just naturally interact with each other.  It was great to see Tiger again this year as well!  I haven’t seen Tiger for a couple of years now, but he looked exactly the same  🙂  Even Tiger seemed ready for the family shoot!  I’m so glad that our schedules worked out again this year, Mom and Dad!  Renyn and Lauryn, you both did an amazing job!!!  Click here to see our 2016 shoot.  My year would not be complete without seeing all of you 🙂  Here’s your sneak peek:
