Alex is officially a big brother! Little Matthew looked like Alex as a newborn (click HERE to see Alex’s newborn shoot) with a swirl of cocoa. Matthew’s hair was slightly darker than Alex’s, but he was equally as cute! Matthew had beautiful long fingers and dark grey eyes. He even gave us a few gentle smiles! I can’t believe it’s been a year since our last shoot with Alex (click HERE to see Alex’s 2013 shoot), and so much has happened since that time! Alex has grown like a weed, and he became a big brother…he’s going to be a wonderful older sibling 🙂 It was great seeing you again, Mom and Dad…here’s your sneak peek:

Another rain out shoot for us (you’ll see quite a few, because we had to make some major schedule adjustments due to Hurricane Ana)…although technically, it wasn’t a rainout because Mom decided to do an switch her shoot from an outdoor to an indoor shoot (thanks, Mom!). Tyler really is one of the sweetest, gentlest little boys we’ve had the honor of photographing. He has always taken instruction easily, and never complains as we move swiftly from prop to prop. He doesn’t require any “warm up” period, and basically, is a dream to work with. Click HERE to see Tyler’s 2013 shoot. Mom and Dad, you are definitely doing something right with Tyler…he is a wonderful little boy with a soft and loving soul. Thank you for driving out and bringing all of those “Thomas” props with you (who would have guessed that you would one day know the names of every single steam engine in the Thomas collection?). Same cute smile…just a little more hair 🙂 Click HERE to see Hayden’s 2013 photo shoot. Hayden had the cutest little hairdo for our shoot (I called it “The Hayden”). Mom said it was natural. I would pay to have a hairstyle like that! She greeted us with her sweet smile and the cutest sparkly shoes. She reminded me of Dorothy (in the Wizard of Oz), with silver shoes instead of Ruby Red shoes. She lit up our studio with her giggles and love for her “Monkey” (Monkey had to try all props and poses first before Hayden…”Monkey try!”). It was great seeing you again this year, Mom and Dad! Thanks for a great shoot 🙂 Here’s your sneak peek:

It’s been a couple of years since we last saw Kailee, and boy has she grown! She was rocking a cute little pixie cut at our last shoot (click HERE to see Kailee’s last shoot with us). This time around, she sported long, luxurious hair that Mom said she refused to cut (and I don’t blame her…it was beautiful!). Kailee had a natural smile and general ease about her posing, which made our shoot incredibly easy. She is the type of model that every photographer loves to shoot…so photogenic and fun to work with 🙂 It was great seeing all of you again, Mom and Dad! Thanks for sharing Kailee with us, you were all amazing! Here’s your sneak peek:

Yet another rain out shoot for us! Despite the whipping winds, we had a nice overcast afternoon…which made for a fun afternoon with Maggie and Emily 🙂 We’ve seen Maggie and Emily quite a bit this past year, and it was a pleasure to see them again for their family Christmas shoot! Click HERE, HERE and HERE to see our other 2014 shoots with Maggie and Emily. This beach brought back nostalgic memories for all of us; this was the same location that we used for Maggie’s very first shoot with us 4 years ago! Click HERE to see Maggie’s first shoot. How time flies!!! I’m so glad that the weather held up for us, Mom and Dad…and as always, it was wonderful to see your beautiful family again. Thank you! Here’s your sneak peek:

This was the first of several rainout shoots for us. The sky looked cloudy, and we were concerned that we would have a “double” rainout! We crossed our fingers and headed out to the beach to meet Renyn, Lauryn and their parents. One plus with this “on the edge” weather, was that the beach was relatively empty (which makes post-processing so much easier for me!). The skies held up for us, and it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon…the lighting was amazing, and the kids were so happy to be at the beach. They were enamored by the waves, water and sand, and gave us wonderful action shots! This was the first time in four years that we haven’t seen Tiger (click HERE to see our 2013 with Tiger and his family)…hugs to you, Tiger! Hope to see you next year 🙂 Thanks for a fantastic shoot, Mom and Dad! Here’s your sneak peek:

Jadon was ready for his 2014 shoot! He brought his energy and big, happy smile with him 🙂 Mom and Dad brought in “stylized” pumpkins…loved them! What a great idea! Every year, Jadon’s parents arrive toting bags and boxes full of props (which we really appreciate, thank you!). Mr. Nutcracker made his final (?) appearance this year (click here and here to see him in previous shoots). Love how the Nutcracker documented Jadon’s growth over the past few years…another wonderful idea! Thanks for sharing your happy little boy with us, it was great seeing all of you again! We were greeted by the clapping of thunder as we pulled into the parking lot. The sky looked ominous, and we were definitely afraid that we were going to have to reschedule our shoot. We decided to give it a try and get in as many shots as we could before the rain. As their SUV doors opened, out popped two of the sweetest siblings we’ve photographed to date. Brooke and Troy’s smiles literally lit up our afternoon 🙂 It’s rare that we have siblings that get along as well as Brooke and Troy do. The shoot was filled with hand holding, hugging and laughing. Mom and Dad, if you could somehow bottle that sibling love and sell it, you’d be rich! Loved that Mom and Dad brought props (flowers and the heart balloon) to our shoot…it really shows that they were invested in their shoot. Brooke and Troy, I hope you were able to collect a million pinecones after our shoot…if not, you can visit us anytime (we have tons in our “backyard”)! He was Mr. Smiley for the camera…and quite possibly the strongest little boy we’ve seen to date! Dad is a sports lover. To be more specific, a Duke sports lover (it was pretty evident when he parked his car along the curb and I spotted his license plate frame…it professed his love for the team). Don’t worry Dad, at the rate little Cameron is going, he’ll be the clean-up hitter for his little league team in no time. This boy had power in his 5-day old arms and legs! His eye focus was amazing (just look at how he seems to be staring straight at the camera at us). Thank you for sharing your wonderful family with us, Mom and Dad! It was great to meet all of you 🙂 Here’s your sneak peek:

Aiden arrived to our studio toting “Grimlock“…his beloved Transformer. He was a plethora of Transformer information, and I was impressed! Over the course of our shoot, we sang the “Everything is Awesome” song (from the LEGO movie) at least 10 times, and shouted his Mommy and Daddy’s names at least 50 times each. Thank goodness I have a little boy myself, so I’m familiar with “little boy humor”, LOL! I can’t believe a year has passed, but we have a blast every time we see you 🙂 (click HERE to see last year’s shoot with Aiden). Thank you, Aiden, for making me smile…and thank you to Mom and Dad for driving out to see us. Here’s your sneak peek:
