Little did Renyn and Lauryn know that this year, they would be a meal for about a million mosquitos. Poor kiddos, they were covered with mosquito bites within minutes of starting our shoot. In fact, the majority of my post processing for this shoot consisted of Photoshopping out both mosquitos and mosquito bites from Renyn and Lauryn’s arms and legs. They did such a great job of trying to sit still for our shoot…a difficult feat when you are being feasted on. We marched through mud and plant life, trying to get our photos, and we waited so patiently for our turn on the branch of that tree (we got there just in time to have an entire party setting up their tents directly behind the tree). Lots of Photoshopping there too…we had tents, poles, people, coolers, and leaf blowers all over the place behind the kids. Renyn and Lauryn, you did such a great job at staying focused for our photos so we could get them over with (to escape those vicious mosquitos)! It was great seeing you again this year, Mom and Dad! I felt concerned as headed out to our morning shoot. The rain was hitting my windshield, and the sky was a dark grey. Luckily, we chose a location that was somewhat shielded from the rain…so we kept our session. I was looking forward to seeing Renyn and Lauryn. They are one of my favorite “brother/sister” siblings, because they are so loving! I never have to ask them to pose, they just naturally interact with each other. It was great to see Tiger again this year as well! I haven’t seen Tiger for a couple of years now, but he looked exactly the same 🙂 Even Tiger seemed ready for the family shoot! I’m so glad that our schedules worked out again this year, Mom and Dad! Renyn and Lauryn, you both did an amazing job!!! Click here to see our 2016 shoot. My year would not be complete without seeing all of you 🙂 Here’s your sneak peek:

We are fully booked through 2017, and are currently scheduling shoots for 2018. Thank you for your support!
It was meant to be! We were incredibly sad when we found out that Renyn and Lauryn were moving away last year. We’ve seen Renyn since he was about 8-months old, and always look forward to seeing his entire family every year (click HERE to see their 2015 shoot). Mom emailed me back in September to let me know that they were planning to come back to Oahu as a family in October, and wanted to know if we had any openings left for a holiday shoot during their visit. We were fully booked, but I just happened to have a client ask to reschedule their shoot, and the shoot opening happened to be on the weekend Renyn and Lauryn were visiting! I was so excited! We had time for a quick shoot right before their family dinner. I love that Renyn and Lauryn were so interactive! I usually get a few sibling shots in, before one sibling runs off to play in the water. Each family shoot is different (depending on number of siblings, sibling ages and temperament, time, lighting and weather…so many factors!), but we were lucky enough to capture a lot of sibling photos this time around 🙂 Mom and Dad, thank you, thank you, thank you for contacting me! It was so great seeing you all! We miss seeing you at the tennis courts! Here’s your sneak peek:

We are fully booked for 2016. We are currently still accepting newborn shoot inquiries, as well as shoot inquiries for 2017. We will resume our regular shoot schedule in January 2017. Thank you 🙂
Our holiday season shoots are never complete without seeing Renyn and Lauryn! Click HERE to see their 2014 photo shoot. I first met this family when Renyn was less than a year old…I remembering propping him up because he wasn’t quite sitting on his own at the time. Since that time, we’ve seen them at least once a year. This year, we did the shoot at Renyn and Lauryn’s house. They were so very patient (we had to wait for the sun to go down…it was so bright!), and took directions incredibly well. Our shoot went flying by, and we were able to shoot at a variety of spots that day. Mom and Dad invited us inside, and I was thrilled to see how many of our photos they used throughout the years. Mom brought out calendars, books, cards and school projects. Their walls showcased their individual and family photos…and it made us smile 🙂 I absolutely LOVE when people use our photos (at least we know that you like them…and they aren’t just sitting on your CD or USB drive, LOL!). Thank you so very much, Mom and Dad, for sharing your wonderful family with us. We’ve enjoyed seeing them grow year after year, and we have special memories of each of your shoots (click HERE to see our “SPAM Musubi shoot”, where I literally danced with a musubi on my head to get the kids to smile…really, I have absolutely no shame, Edson can attest to that!). P.S. We are officially fully booked for 2015! Thank you for a great year 🙂 We are continuing to book shoots for 2016!
The day started off with blue skies, but the hour before the shoot yielded grey skies. Raindrops hit our windshield as we neared the beach. My heart sank because I knew that this shoot took quite a bit of work to organize (multi-family shoots with multiple children are always difficult to coordinate, and I know our clients worked incredibly hard to coordinate their schedules). The families were spread across the island, so unless it absolutely stormed, our shoot was on! We started off with drizzling and grey skies. Low and behold, halfway through the shoot, blue skies emerged! The boys seemed to have a blast playing in the sand and finding “treasures” on the beach. I loved the giggles and silly poses 🙂 Thank you for driving all the way out to meet us. I know some of you had a VERY long drive. It was great to meet all of you! Bradley says, “Hi!” to you, Mrs. T 🙂 Here’s your sneak peek:

This was the first of several rainout shoots for us. The sky looked cloudy, and we were concerned that we would have a “double” rainout! We crossed our fingers and headed out to the beach to meet Renyn, Lauryn and their parents. One plus with this “on the edge” weather, was that the beach was relatively empty (which makes post-processing so much easier for me!). The skies held up for us, and it turned out to be a beautiful afternoon…the lighting was amazing, and the kids were so happy to be at the beach. They were enamored by the waves, water and sand, and gave us wonderful action shots! This was the first time in four years that we haven’t seen Tiger (click HERE to see our 2013 with Tiger and his family)…hugs to you, Tiger! Hope to see you next year 🙂 Thanks for a fantastic shoot, Mom and Dad! Here’s your sneak peek:

Another year has passed, and Lauryn was up and running (the last time we saw little Lauryn was HERE at 6 months, and at that time she had just mastered sitting up). Renyn was also one year older, and even more handsome than he was a year ago! He was a little chatterbox with us, and was eager to talk about his preschool experiences 🙂 Time just flies by! Poor Lauryn fell and scraped her knee just as our shoot began…but the tears quickly dried, and were replaced with smiles. Renyn was such a big help…he did his “arm swing” thing that seemed to thrill Lauryn into smiling for us. I also had a great time at the shoot (and it’s the first time I’ve ever shot with a spam musubi balancing on my head, LOL!). Oh the things we do for a smile… Mom and Dad, it was great to see you again! Here’s your sneak peek:
